Remote Control Productions

Remote Control Productions is a film score company run by veteran composer Hans Zimmer. Originally known as "Media Ventures," which was conceived and founded by Jay Rifkin and Hans Zimmer,[1] the company changed its name after the partners both filed lawsuits against each other.[2]

Remote Control Productions has been responsible for the scores for a number of successful films including the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, the Shrek series, Iron Man, Gladiator, Kung Fu Panda, Mission: Impossible II, The Last Samurai, Batman Begins, Transformers, Hancock, Kingdom of Heaven, The Dark Knight, Madagascar, and The Da Vinci Code. Recently, many composers from Remote Control Productions have worked in successful videogames such like the Metal Gear series, The Sims 3, Gears of War 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and its sequel, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Harry Gregson-Williams, Klaus Badelt, Stephen Barton, Steve Jablonsky and Hans Zimmer are a few of the composers who recently joined the videogame industry, but Harry Gregson-Williams is considered the first Media Ventures composer to join the videogame industry than anyone else in Zimmer's team.
